Dubai is a popular destination for students seeking higher education. Dubai is home to several universities, both public and private. The American University in Dubai, the University of Wollongong in Dubai, and the University of Manchester’s campus in Dubai are a few of the well-known ones. Dubai is renowned in particular for its programmes in hospitality and tourism. Although English is extensively used in Dubai and is the language of instruction in universities, Arabic is the city’s official language. The cost of living in Dubai can be high, especially in terms of accommodation and transportation. If you’re not a UAE national, you’ll need to obtain a student visa to study in Dubai. - Post Graduate students can legally change their student visa to work visa in case if they find an employer. The same student can continue his studies as a part time student. The classes will be from 6 PM to 9 PM or on weekends (depending upon University).
- IELTS waiver if student scored more than 70% in 12th English. MBA Courses are the exceptions in that.
- Student can take transfer to the parent campus after finishing one academic year of their UG Course based on their scores.
- IELTS of 6.5* required for PG courses and 6.0* required for UG Courses.

Student's Visa procedure
Student visa Charges
- Even though the visa processing fee is set by the UAE Government Services Office (GSO), every university/institute's service charge varies. Hence the student visa for studying in Dubai has varying costs.
- Some Dubai universities include a health/ medical insurance coverage cost as well; in other cases you have to arrange for that separately. So we are providing an estimate range of Visa fee taken as an average of what different universities in Dubai are charging as of year 2018:
- Visa processing fee: 3000 - 4000 AED (Rs. 55,000 - 72,000 approx.)
- Other than above Visa Processing Fees, Refundable Visa deposit: 4000 - 5000 AED (Rs. 72,000 - 90,000 approx.) [returned to you by university after completing studies]
- Medical insurance: 1500 - 2500 AED (Rs. 27,000 - 45,000 approx.)
Dubai Visa
The University requires all students on University Student Residence Visa to have University’s medical insurance for the duration of their study. A copy of the insurance documents must be submitted with the application.
Documents Required –
- Completed ‘Student Visa’ form
- Clear passport copy - passport should have validity of 6 months when applying for a Student Visa
- Contact details in UAE (if available)
- Parent/guardian’s name and nationality
- Digital passport sized color photograph with white background.
- Copy of tuition fees receipt for the current year and security deposit receipt (if applicable)for the current year.
- Copy of Visa fees receipt for the current year.
- Completed medical insurance documentation (if arranged out with the University).
