Italy is a popular destination for students who want to study abroad. It has a rich history, culture, and a long-standing reputation for excellence in the arts, fashion, design, and cuisine. Additionally, Italy is home to some of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world. Italian is the primary language of instruction in most universities, so it is important to have at least a basic understanding of the language. Some universities may offer courses in English, but they are generally limited.
If you are a non-European Union (EU) student, you will need to apply for a student visa to study in Italy. Entry Requirements-Bachelor’s
Subject specific Requirements:
- Medium of Instruction – English
- IELTS/TOEFL can be waived.
- Student must be fluent in English with good communication skills.Student receives a Telephonic Interview call from school programmer from Italy. The interview is to judge English proficiency of candidate which lasts for 10 to 15 minutes. In addition to this, student is also interviewed by Visa officer during the Visa process.
- Academic percentage – 55% though some institutions accept with 50% as well.

- NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS The number of scholarships is 1700
- The scholarship amount is calculated both on the student's income bracket as well as on the Merit must pay the first installment of the all inclusive contribution as well as the amount due for regional tax, stamps and premium insurance .

PAYMENT OF SCHOLARSHIPS
- The scholarship will be paid in two installments:
- The payment order for the first installment will be issued during November
- The payment order for the second installment will be issued by October for students who have attained ECTS credits required
FOLLOW THE STEPS
- In order to apply for these scholarships, students should obtain a certificate called ISEEU from CAAF offices in Italy (Income tax office). The following documents should be presented by the student to CAAF to obtain ISEEU.
- You need to prepare an affidavit mentioning below mentioned details to apply for DSU
- 1. Family member details
- 2. Income details of Family members
- 3. Property details
- All the three information can be mentioned in the single affidavit and get it notarized by the notary advocate.
- This document to be prepared in 10Ors stamp paper, it has to be apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs, and then translated in Italian language from Indo Italian Chamber of Commerce.
- You can keep this document ready by the month of April/May
DEADLINES FOR SUBMISSION OF THE APPLICATION
- 7 August 2020, for students enrolled in first years of ALL study programmes, including students enrolled in the first year of Master of Science courses starting from the second term and including students enrolled in the first year of PhD programmes and in the specialisation course.

Student Accommodation & Living Costs
- Most of the universities in Italy doesn't have its own accommodation, but the international office will provide assistance.
- General living costs in cities like Milan and Rome are considerably higher than those in the rural areas.
- Student housing in Italy is more expensive in bigger cities and can range from €700-800 a month, depending on the size and location.

- Documentation regarding the applicant’s financial status:
✓ Proof of means of support in Italy of not less than Euro 467.65 for each month (Euro 6079.45 per year) of each academic year. Student must show balance complete tuition fees + 1 year of living expenses minimum Euro 8,000 to Euro 9000 (even if the required amount is lesser than this as per checklist). The show funds must be greater (minimum Euro 3,000 to Euro 4,000) than the required fund. This availability can be proven through: 1. Documents proving applicant’s source of income. If financially supported by a sponsor, the applicant is required to provide sponsorship letter and sponsor’s ID proof, evidence of sponsor’s employment/business activity, sponsor’s ITR -V forms for last 3 years and bank account statements for last 6 months stamped and signed by bank manager.
- 2. Educational loan (it will be accepted only if deposited and visible on bank statements submitted by the applicant)
- 3 months of accommodation (confirmed and paid)
- One way flight ticket ➢ Medical Insurance with a coverage of at least €30,000 valid for the first 6 months of stay in Italy,including the ‘repatriation clause’

‘The average processing time for long term Italian study visa applications is 45 -60 days. However, in view of the high volume of applications and in compliance with the Italian official directions in force, the same can take up to 90 days.
